Strathmore Residence is a contemporary residential development defined by a strong architectural form, where the interiors play a key role in softening and grounding the experience of the home. Working in close alignment with the architecture, the design focused on introducing warmth, texture and a more considered sense of living within a bold, linear framework.
The architectural language, expressed through steel framing and vertical timber battens, establishes a clear rhythm throughout. Internally, this is carried through a restrained palette of blonde timber joinery, soft oak flooring and stone surfaces, creating continuity between structure and space while bringing a quieter, more tactile quality to the interiors.
Material selections were approached with restraint, allowing subtle variation and texture to add depth without overwhelming the space. Handmade tiles, stone finishes and microcement detailing across key elements such as the fireplace and rangehood introduce softness and character, balancing the precision of the architectural form.
The planning and material approach work together to create a home that feels calm and cohesive; a space where light, texture and proportion shape the way each room is experienced throughout the day. Transitions between spaces are gentle and intuitive, supporting both everyday routines and slower moments of pause.
The result is a home that feels settled and refined, where architecture and interior design come together to create a sense of ease, comfort and quiet connection in daily life.
